The word picky is defined as “very careful or too careful about choosing or accepting things; hard to please.” This sums up my
single dating life. From looks to personality to lifestyle, I am plagued with the inability to have feelings for someone who falls short of what I am looking for. Sure, I don’t expect someone to meet every single criteria that I have for a suitor, but if he doesn’t come close, then he can expect to never hear from me again. Sorry, but I am not going to waste my time with someone I am not interested in. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
At the end of the day, I am just a girl trying to find love again. During this process, I will probably come off as a heartless and judgmental person, which is fair, but I have tried forcing feelings for the great guys who weren’t my type, and they were all futile attempts. Trust me, if I could get over my strict standards and like just anyone, then I would.
If you, too, are a picky dater, then I am sure you will appreciate my dating tales. If you are not picky at all, then you can probably learn a thing or two about being more selective. If you are a guy trying to navigate the dating world, then pay attention because I am your toughest critic. If you like people who judge other people, then there is plenty of that in this blog. Or maybe you are just looking for a way to distract yourself from work or waste time – you are in good company.
